Awaba MTB Park
Coming from Sydney:
Head up the F3 freeway towards Newcastle (Highway 1).
After about 100 km take the exit toward Freemans Dr.
Turn right at Freemans Dr and drive for 4.6 km.
Turn right at Mount Faulk Rd and continue for 2.4 km.
From there you can see the MTB Park signs.

Camping on-site? Not a problem at all. Food & drinks will be available on raceday. We'll organise basic amenities for the night before (toilets), but please bring your own drinking water.

Plenty off-road parking available.

It is a public MTB track and you can ride it in the lead up to the race. We will keep you posted about upcoming training rides – there’s quite a few club rides and women’s groups that are keen to take our Rocky Trail Diamonds out for a spin. We’ll be announcing such social rides via our newsletters and Facebook portals.

The racetrack in 2016 was so popular that we decided to recycle it for the 2017 edition:

The track is 6km long and has a few short climbs but no major hills.
Approx. 800m are on firetrail the rest is singletrail.

Start of the loop - some sections are ridden in reverse.

Juliane's Cell Awaba 2.0 feels right at home in Awaba.

First tricky section with a few roots thrown in for good measure.

After a bit of fireroad we are back on the red loop.

No big hills but a few short pinchy climbs are on offer.

Salad Bowl Selfie.

Bridge in the beautiful jungle.

View from the top.

Back in the bush.

Heading towards the finish in reverse.

The one tricky step-up on the Siberia section.

Home straight at Cowbells.
