2018 Round 2 - Thredbo

Have a look here for all the track info: http://www.thredbo.com.au/mountain/biking-trails/

The RedAss Downhill trail used will be the Cannonball Downhill Trail. 1 race run per rider + seeding runs for all categories.
The Fox Superflow trail used will be 2 runs of the Kosciuszko Flow Trail. Combined time counts.

  • Does the price include liftpass?
    Yes, it includes Saturday's liftpass.
  • Can I practice the track beforehand?
Yes you can. The track is open and on Friday all racers can get a lift ticket for only $45. You can also extend your trip and take up the $35 lift ticket offer on Sunday. You can purchase them at the Thredbo sports shop. We will provide them with the current rider list.
  • I heard there is a downhill race on the same weekend - can I enter both?
Absolutely! We are running the RedAss Downhill on the same weekend so the place will be buzzing with gravity MTBing all weekend. You can purchase the extra entry as an add-on during the registration process.
  • Do I need a full face helmet to race the Flow track?
No you don't, a regular helmet is sufficient. However you do need a full face helmet for the DH track.

Take the F3 from Sydney, take the Wyong turnoff, turn left and follow the road to the T junction. Turn left towards Yarramalong for a couple of km's and Red Hill road will be on your left as you come down the first hill.

From the North take the F3 and exit at the Sparks Rd / Toukley off ramp and turn right. After 300 metres at the T junction turn left onto Hue Hue Rd. Follow this to the T junction. Turn right towards Yarramalong. Red Hill Rd is a couple of Km's on your left as you come down the first hill.

With our new timing system we have new options as well as some limitations so here is what we will run:

2 tracks - as we need phone reception for live results the finish will be near 'Schladming' and the big rock at the bottom of 'Rollercoaster' for those familiar with the track.

You will need to do 2 runs on each track and have up to 5 tries (your fastest 2 will count).

U13 and U15 categories will only have to do 1 run per track but also have mutliple tries where their fastest time will count.

Camping is allowed at this venue.
