2019 Mitas Terra in the Berra prize pool announced

The Mitas Terra in the Berra was founded by the Canberran Off-Road Cyclists in 2018 and has been taken on by Rocky Trail Entertainment in 2019. From 27-29 September the three-day event will be a “celebration of the vibrant cycling and mountain biking lifestyle in Canberra” for local and visiting riders – a multi-day experience like no other. The will feature Rocky Trail’s AMB 100 Marathon and offers a main racing option as well as a more social “experience”, which requires less of a racing distance on day one and three of the event. Mobilising its national and international cycling network, Rocky Trail Entertainment secured the support of the Crocodile Trophy and the Outback Cycling Easter In the Alice, two major Australian stage races for the Mitas Terra in the Berra. For the eBike classification the award-winning touring company Southbound Escapes has been confirmed as category sponsor with prizes for the overall eBike winners.

Rocky Trail Entertainment will reward winners of adult classifications and Juniors (U18) in the EXPERIENCE event with local prizes and entries to their flagship endurance events, including the Jetblack Wild Wombat on the 1 December weekend in Bateman’s Bay, the Jetblack 24 Hour race in Lithgow in March 2020 as well as their events in the ACT and at Stromlo Forest Park. Naming rights sponsor MITAS Tyres Australia will provide an additional prize pool for spot prizes including tubless tape and tyres.

  • Hills and Hops Spring Festival by The Handlebar Stromlo
• Sunday:
  • The AMB100 Marathon will remain a stand-alone race and Terra in the Berra participants will hit the Single or Double monster circuit on the Sunday together with the marathon racers.
