A climate for change: Huw Kingston campaign support

Huw Kingston has been one of the most influential people in our Australian “Rocky Trail Life” and we would like to show our support for his candidacy in the upcoming Federal Election on 18 May 2019. As fate would have it, we are holding our Shimano MTB Grand Prix mountain bike race in his electorate at Wingello State Forest that day, promoting the sport that made us meet each other and which made him leave a lasting impression in our lives! – Huw participated in the event last year and we hope to welcome him at the start line among our Rocky Trail racers soon again!

Over the last few weeks we have been following his campaign as an Independent candidate for Hume in the upcoming Federal Election on 18 May. Huw’s messages and views really resonate with us and we want to support him by sharing this campaign video.

We have always looked up to him as a role model not only for organising some of Australia’s most iconic cycling events, but also as a small business owner, cycling advocate and just for being the inspirational and genuinely down to earth, driven human being that he is.

If you believe in my campaign, if you believe there is a climate for change and if you believe in a future for your kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews and all our youth, then I need your help to make that change happen.

Help spread the word about this man and his values and let’s all mobilise and support people like Huw to help make our voices heard. Thank you for your time!

To sign off, may we share that fateful and defining moment hat Huw was a major part of: At one of his adventure events at Stromlo Forest Park in 2007 Juliane crossed the finish line with flowers in her backpack that Martin had bought her earlier along the way. In his cheeky and intuitive way Huw asked, if this wasn’t a good reason for a marriage proposal! – Martin agreed, asked and got a YES and we even have the photo story to remember it all.
