For the first time the AMB100 Marathon took place in April and we are so glad that we made the right decision and happy about the positive feedback from riders as well as sponsors and supporters.
Says Mike Blewitt, the editor of our event’s headline sponsor, the Australian Mountain Bike Magazine,
“In it’s 4th year the AMB100 has really hit its stride. The event really does draw a diverse crowd, from riders who sign up knowing that they get to race on the trails of Australia’s most successful mountain bike park, or riders who know that rocky Trail Entertainment always put on a fun event, and riders who were interested in trying out an event in a non-threatening environment. Everyone was catered for and although there were plenty of grimaces during the action, these were countered with smiles once riders were over the finish line for their event. On such a glorious autumn day, there was no better place to be on your mountain bike.”
We are looking forward to returning to Stromlo Forest Park with this event next year – it is one of our favourite places to ride and race too.
On another very good note, we received the all clear from the rider who crashed on Pork Barrell. Apparently not even a broken bone. All the best, mate!
