… race in a state forest of trance …
The Jetblack 24 Hour has been on the Rocky Trail calendar since 2009 – we’ve raced around the clock at a holiday resort, a botanic garden and a winery and for the next one we’re going bush.
The 2017 edition of the JetBlack 24 Hour will be held at Awaba MTB in the Olney State Forest, on the home trails of the Hunter MTB Association! Race for 24 hours solo or in teams or pick one of the 6+6 hour categories where you get to rest overnight.
This will be the first time that such a long mountain bike race will be held at Awaba and all its best trail sections will be linked up to an awesome 24-hour circuit – the race will be on good-old bush singletrails, the kind that will make your heart sing and your legs burn. It will take you deep into the rainforest on the foothills of the Watagans – the the cool and moist air will bring respite as the salad bowl spins you around and back onto those flowy Awaba trails that make it one of the most-loved mountain bike destinations on the East Coast.
Online registration will open on October 3 at 3pm.
There will be a rider cap of 350 so please don’t wait too long if you would like to race. It is very likely that the race will fill up.
Be a #rockytrailracer and enjoy cross-country racing at its best.
