The start of the non-stop tour will take place today, on 10th January 2017 at Cottesloe Beach at the Indiana Beach Hotel in Perth. The distance to the world-famous Sydney Opera House is 3,950 kilometers and includes 16,000 meters of climbing. “Compared to the Race Across America, I have to complete half of the climbing on a similar distance, with the highest elevation being only 700 meters. But the challenge will be the weather. I will start the ride during the Australian summer and it will be constantly hot and dry, especially while crossing the Outback”, says the three-time-winner of Race Across America called “RAAM”, the world’s longest endurance bicycle race.
