Go for gold and make tracks at this special Sunshine Coast event celebrating 10 years until the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games!
Rocky Trail Entertainment has been appointed to manage this special mountain biking milestone event for the Sunshine Coast Council and on behalf of council we would like to share some important event information with you.
Who is the event for? From children to seniors, beginners to pros, everyone is invited to join the fun and #HaveaGo! Key points:
- Please scroll down for important venue and parking info to plan your arrival.
- People can get on their bikes at Sugar Bag Road Mountain Bike Trails on Sunday, 7 August 2022, from 10am – 3pm for an action-packed day.
- Official ceremony at 1pm with guest speakers: Hear the journey from the athletes!
- Take the whole family on a social ride around the Sugar Bag Trails.
- the individual and group sessions are mostly booked out, but the two timed fun events that Rocky Trail is running still have spots:
- You can also test your endurance and compare your time against a PRO on a short 1.5km XCO track – timing window 10am – 2pm!
- Ride in the pump track competition from 2pm

Sugar Bag MTB Trails – Sugar Bag Rd, Caloundra West QLD 4551
Parking
- Important! There is no parking available onsite.
- Event parking is located at Caloundra High School (88 Queen Street, Caloundra) where a shuttle bus will take you and your bike to the event.
- Please allow at least 30 minutes for parking and transport to the event before your session.
Arrival
Please report to the Rocky Trail/Sunshine Coast Registration Tent upon arrival to collect your wrist band and race plate (if applicable)
Safety
Bikes must be in good working order and safe to ride
All riders must have an Australian Approved helmet

There will be a range of food and drink vendors onsite as well as exhibitors including Maxxis, Chicks who ride Bikes, Auscycling, Hit Bikes and Bike Taylor.

- Former World Champion Janine Jungfels will stage an hourly trials demonstration in centre court

- Meet some of QLD’s and Australia’s most accomplished MTB athletes!

Make sure you stay on or come early for lunch and join us in front of the stage area at 1pm to meet legends of the sport including Olympian Lisa Mathison and National Pump Track Champion Jayce Cunning. Plus be inspired, or inspire your kids, by hearing from an athlete about their journey to the Olympics. And, don’t forget to check out former World Champion Janine Jungfels staging an hourly Trials demonstration in centre court.

Rocky Trail Entertainment has all required Covid Safety plans and requirements in place.
We ask that if If you are showing any signs of the cold or flu or have a fever, that you please NOT come to the race. Please contact us immediately and we will transfer or refund your entry.
