RACE THE WAY YOU RIDE!

Freedom, riding, being outside, friends, community, heavy breathing leading to epic descents. It’s what we do and it’s what the Fox Superflow® is all about! Let’s bang into some berms and do turnbars off jumps. Life is for living!

This event is part of our Fox Superflow QLD South Series in 2021.

Fox Superflow® is racing the way you ride. Ride up at your own pace. Drop in with your buddies on each other’s tyre or leave a space to pin. It’s about doing party trains, railing berms and SENDING IT! Be a Rocky Trail racer and turn up the volume in your mountain bike life at the Fox Superflow!

This is friendly enduro racing without a tight schedule: You can pick the order in which to tackle the race stages, which makes this event social and action-packed at the same time! You can do up to five runs on each stage, the fastest one counts and there are no start orders, which means whatever category you’re in, you can ride together and still lock your own best race run in!

Get ready for an absolute adrenaline rush as you smash down our Superflow race tracks to hunt down those precious seconds for the win!

The Fox Superflow® is Australia’s most popular gravity enduro series! And in 2021 we will race all down the East Coast of Australia – from the tip up in Queensland’s Tropical North via NSW and the ACT way down South in Victoria.

This race is supported by Ipswich City Council! We are stoked to be racing at Castle Hill Blackstone Reserve MTB Park, which provides some of the best single track in SE Queensland. Ipswich City Council and a group of dedicated volunteers from the Ipswich Cycling Club have built the trails and facilities that makes this small but busy trail network one of the most popular in the region. You pick your race day, Saturday or Sunday!

This race is part of the Fox Superflow QLD South Series! For the first time we are offering a series in three iconic MTB locations in the Sunshine State: Nerang, Eastern Escarpment, Ipswich and Mt Joyce!

RACE THE WAY YOU RIDE

Freedom, riding, being outside, friends, community, heavy breathing leading to epic descents. It’s what we do and it’s what the Fox Superflow® is all about. Let’s bang into some berms and do turnbars off jumps. Life is for living!

The Fox Superflow® is Rocky Trail’s unique gravity format, which has been taking the enduro community by storm with its flexible format that let’s racers across a wide range of age categories ride and race together all day.

It’s racing the way you ride: Ride up at your own pace. Drop in with your buddies on each other’s tyre or leave a space to pin. It’s about doing party trains, railing berms and SENDING IT!

Who can race it?

This is friendly enduro racing without a tight schedule: You can pick the order in which to tackle the race stages, which makes this event social and action-packed at the same time! You can do up to five runs on each stage, the fastest one counts and there are no start orders, which means whatever category you’re in, you can ride together and still lock your own best race run in!

There are many age categories in this event – a solid field of Elites and semi-pros in the Expert (19+) and Veterans (30+) across male and female classifications, with big groups of mates chasing each other on the race tracks. One of the strongest representations we get in the Masters (40+ / 50+ / 60+) with a good third of competitors in those fields – many of them racing with their juniors and families!

Our junior truly bring the event to life – over one third of racers are usually Under 17 years old with competitors as young as 10 at the start lines. The junior podiums generally are always full across boys and girls categories with U13, U15 and U17s as well as U19’s smashing it out on the trails.

We are offering a buddy system for the races – parents or guardians can race themselves and be with their juniors all day because of our flexible timing system. However, we also offer them to accompany young competitors out on track for free as buddies or marshals. This can be arranged on the day with our registration crew.
Get ready for an absolute adrenaline rush as you smash down our Superflow race tracks to hunt down those precious seconds for the win!

Ride to start un-timed: You ride to the starts un-timed, which means you can spend all day together with mates, your partner or the junior frothers!

Three timed race stages, up to five runs on each, fastest time on each counts! That’s 45 possible race runs! Within a set timing window you complete a set of timed race stages down – the faster you go, the more challenging it gets! Race face on – photos included!!

No start-order! No worries! We have a flexible timing system so you can pick yourself when to race which stage – up to 5 runs on each!

Generally, you pick your race day, Saturday or Sunday – check the individual race pages for the venue-specific set up. There are usually 3 timed race tracks and we aim at a race time of 10-15 minutes.

LIVE timing: Start and finish of each race stage is automatic; we will have marshalls in place. Cross the line, check your result on your phone!

We created Rocky Trail Entertainment so that you can RACE THE WAY YOU RIDE!

We offer an awesome day out to a wide range of riders – from elite to amateur racers to families, couples and groups of friends riding together. We also offer Hardtail and eBike categories.

There are regional, state and outright series classifications – the series points you collect for each race you attend will be added together and split into NSW/ACT, QLD North, QLD South and VIC. Additionally we will crown the overall Australian Fox Superflow Champions.

Included in each entry: $60 race photo package from the crew at OuterImage.com.au – competitors can download their photos from an online portal after each event.

Important: Special COVID-19 Race Rules in place!

All competitors need to sign up online and please note that event Check-In is mandatory for any non-racer incl. spectators and supporter. Media representatives please get your event accreditation by contacting us ahead or get it on the day at the registration desk. Everyone must CHECK IN via the relevant Covid Check-In App with the QR Code displayed at the registration desk in the Rocky Trail event centre. Find App download and state/territory-specific information via our Covid Check-In portal!

Location

Castle Hill MTB Tracks – corner of Thomas and Mary Streets, Blackstone

We are racing at the Castle Hill MTB Tracks, which are apart of the historic Castle Hill Blackstone Reserve on the corner of Thomas and Mary Streets, Blackstone. We would like to thank the Ipswich Cycling Club for their support – these guys have worked tirelessly for a long time to build the facilities of the Castle Hill Blackstone Reserve for all mountain bikers.

Race map

Four short fast tracks with one centralised liaison stage perfect day with your bike!

  • FOX (Inca) is a fun and flowy but does contain a few corners that will test the skills of riders.
  • RaceFace (Phil’s) is the most technical track, starts next to FOX (aka INCA) and includes 2 technical loose and steep corners that will test the best. Expect this track to blow out so be ready to change line choice across the day. Track finishes on a jumps section at the bottom so “whip it” up.
  • STANS (World Cup) has some small doubles and a fun rocky section with a hidden landing for the brave (excellent B Lines for the conservative).
  • LAZER (Roweys) is again fast and flowy with a good combination of fun jumps that can all be rolled.

Race pics included!

All race photos are included in your entry and elite and amateur racers of different ages and riding preferences will have a blast – adults and juniors alike! Our young shredders love it, because they not only can smash their mates but also mum and dad out on track!
