People, the wait is over! Fox Superflow racing is your mountain bike life
with the volume turned up and we’re going to race at Mt Joyce!
Fox Superflow is racing the way you ride.
Superflow is Rocky Trail’s way of turning up the volume in your mountain bike life! Known for it’s rugged, natural and gnarly single track, Mt Joyce will be a fitting location for this round of the Queensland Fox Superflow Series. We will be one of the first events back after a long break for Mt Joyce – the trails have recently been groomed and are running amazingly, we’re told by the locals! Don’t miss this one!
It’s great for groups of mates and even whole families to spend all day together! The event format is so flexible! Whatever category you’re in, you ride to the starts un-timed together and then get to hit the race stage. Get a gap or do party trains all day – meet at the bottom and go up again to transition to the next track, or go do the same again. You have five attempts to get each track nailed and the fastest time on each counts!

What is Superflow racing?
Race the way you ride.
These events truly are unique Australia-wide!
What’s the challenge? Within a set timing window you complete a set of timed race stages, which are predominantly downhill – the faster you go, the more challenging it gets! Each event is a stand-alone event and you can also collect series points.
Who can race it? We offer an awesome day out to a wide range of riders through our broad race categories – from elite to amateur racers to families with juniors, couples and groups of friends riding together. Put on your race face – all your race pics are included in the entry!
No start order! You ride to the starts un-timed and you can pick the order in which to tackle the race tracks, which makes this event social and action-packed at the same time!
How does it work?
Read the online rider briefing ahead of the race and on the day pick up your race number from the rego desk.
You ride to the starts un-timed, which means you can spend all day together with mates, your partner or the junior frothers!
No worries! We have a flexible timing system so you can pick yourself when to race which stage – up to 5 runs on each!
Start and finish of each race stage is automatic; we will have marshalls in place. Cross the line, check your result on your phone!
All Fox Superflows are stand-alone races and all riders are welcome. You can also collect points for an overall series ranking throughout the season – details will be sent out via the Rider Briefing ahead of each race.
Our COVID-19 Response
Special COVID-19 measures in place
Race day Saturday & Sunday*
Up to 5 runs of EACH track!
Fastest run counts, LIVE results.
What people love about the Superflow races is that they normally get to practice all day Saturday. With the COVID-19 measures this will change slightly and we will be racing on both days, Saturday AND Sunday in some venues*. You can select your preferred day when signing up.
What will not change is that you can still do up to 5 race runs on each track! You can also still pick the order in which you complete your race runs.
Your fastest run on each track counts and there are LIVE results! Cross the line, pull out your phone and see how you went!
IMPORTANT: Event accreditation is mandatory for any spectator, supporter or media. You must sign up via the race portal (free admission, but limited spots)!
Why you will love it!
Explore the trails together, make it a MTB weekend away! The race tracks are mostly downhill – the faster you go, the more challenging it gets!
On race day you complete a set of timed race stages within a set timing window. You ride to the starts untimed though, which makes this event social and action-packed at the same time!
There are no start orders, which means you can spend all day together with mates, your partner or the junior frothers! Racers of different ages and riding preferences will have a blast! Together.
Whatever category you’re in – perfect for families, groups of mates and couples of different ages and riding preferences! Who’s going to clock in the fastest time?

Mount Joyce Mountain Bike Trails – Wyaralong Dam Access – The Mount Joyce Mountain Bike Trails are located at Lake Wyaralong, accessed via the Eastern Trail Access carpark.
Opened in 2011 this purpose-built mountain bike park has 25km trails that were specifically designed with events in mind. World Trail did much of the original design and build so the tracks are excellent. Tracks have been recently maintained and are currently amazing.
Important: Wyaralong Dam is an SEQ Water asset and they are the land managers of the Mt Joyce Mountain Bike Park. As tempting as the water might be, unfortunately there is no swimming permitted as the water is part of the drinking water of Brisbane and surrounds.
- FOX – Starting on Big Bertha before hitting Worm Juice to the tunnel, The FOX track is 2.6 km and drops about 150m. Liaison up the service road.
- STANS – Sharing it’s start with FOX riders will head down Bovine Groove and finish after about 2.2 km in before the trail climbs out to the service road.
- LAZER – Starting near the finish of both the FOX and STANS tracks the LAZER track will use the bottom of Bovine Groove to the Secret Valley and includes the iconic timber features near the bottom. The LAZER track is approximately 1km long and drops 50m. Liaison up the shuttle road to the starts or return to the event hub via the Shoreline Trail.
- Event centre: is located inside the gate in the open space above the dam.
- Parking: will be available here also.
- Toilets: The day use car park has public toilets, but we will provide additional toilets at the Event Hub. There is also a pit toilet at the Secret Valley area where the FOX and STANS tracks finish.
- Camping: There is no camping at the Event Hub but some camping approximately 14km away.
- Accommodation is available at Beaudesert and Boonah, approximately 22km and 30km from the Event Hub respectively.
- Water: There is potable water at the day use carpark and the recreational area on the south side of the Dam.
