Legs screaming, heart pumping, adrenaline surging: Stromlo Forest Park

Fox Superflow® is racing the way you ride. Ride up at your own pace. Drop in with your buddies on each other’s tyre or leave a space to pin. It’s about doing party trains, railing berms and SENDING IT! Be a Rocky Trail racer and turn up the volume in your mountain bike life at the Fox Superflow!

This is friendly enduro racing without a tight schedule: You can pick the order in which to tackle the race stages, which makes this event social and action-packed at the same time! You can do up to five runs on each stage, the fastest one counts and there are no start orders, which means whatever category you’re in, you can ride together and still lock your own best race run in!

The Fox Superflow® is Australia’s most popular gravity enduro series! And in 2022 we will race all down the East Coast of Australia – from the tip up in Queensland’s Tropical North via NSW and the ACT way down South in Victoria

Get ready for an absolute adrenaline rush as you smash down our Superflow race tracks to hunt down those precious seconds for the win! Supported by Events ACT, this race will take you to Stromlo Forest Park with one of the most popular Rocky Trail set of race tracks – it will make your frothing gravity mountain bikers’ hearts skip a beat!  At this Fox Superflow event you can do your 5 race runs and you choose either Saturday or Sunday as your race day when you sign up online.

How we choose the tracks at Stromlo:

1. Track Variety

2. Logistics & Timing

3. Athlete & Public Safety

  1. Track Variety: The 3 tracks we have on offer will offer a wide variety of flow, fast, technical and outright awesome tracks.
  2. Logistics & Timing: Having the same start for all 3 tracks is also very important from a logistical and technical timing point of view. For this, we specifically upgraded our timing system.
  3. Athlete & Public Rider Safety: During Covid the trails at Stromlo have become incredibly busy and we want to avoid mixing public with our athletes, because this will diminish the fun for both riders and #rockytrailracers. We will choose the tracks accordingly.

RACE THE WAY YOU RIDE

Freedom, riding, being outside, friends, community, heavy breathing leading to epic descents. It’s what we do and it’s what the Fox Superflow® is all about. Let’s bang into some berms and do turnbars off jumps. Life is for living!

The Fox Superflow® is Rocky Trail’s unique gravity format, which has been taking the enduro community by storm with its flexible format that let’s racers across a wide range of age categories ride and race together all day.

Who can race it?

This is friendly enduro racing without a tight schedule: You can pick the order in which to tackle the race stages, which makes this event social and action-packed at the same time! You can do up to five runs on each stage, the fastest one counts and there are no start orders, which means whatever category you’re in, you can ride together and still lock your own best race run in!

There are many age categories in this event – a solid field of Elites and semi-pros in the Expert (19+) and Veterans (30+) across male and female classifications, with big groups of mates chasing each other on the race tracks. One of the strongest representations we get in the Masters (40+ / 50+ / 60+) with a good third of competitors in those fields – many of them racing with their juniors and families!

Our junior truly bring the event to life – over one third of racers are usually Under 17 years old with competitors as young as 10 at the start lines. The junior podiums generally are always full across boys and girls categories with U13, U15 and U17s as well as U19’s smashing it out on the trails.

We are offering a buddy system for the races – parents or guardians can race themselves and be with their juniors all day because of our flexible timing system. However, we also offer them to accompany young competitors out on track for free as buddies or marshals. This can be arranged on the day with our registration crew.
Get ready for an absolute adrenaline rush as you smash down our Superflow race tracks to hunt down those precious seconds for the win!

Ride to start un-timed: You ride to the starts un-timed, which means you can spend all day together with mates, your partner or the junior frothers!

Three timed race stages, up to five runs on each, fastest time on each counts! That’s 45 possible race runs! Within a set timing window you complete a set of timed race stages down – the faster you go, the more challenging it gets! Race face on – photos included!!

No start-order! No worries! We have a flexible timing system so you can pick yourself when to race which stage – up to 5 runs on each!

Generally, you pick your race day, Saturday or Sunday – check the individual race pages for the venue-specific set up. There are usually 3 timed race tracks and we aim at a race time of 10-15 minutes.

LIVE timing: Start and finish of each race stage is automatic; we will have marshalls in place. Cross the line, check your result on your phone!

We created Rocky Trail Entertainment so that you can RACE THE WAY YOU RIDE!

We offer an awesome day out to a wide range of riders – from elite to amateur racers to families, couples and groups of friends riding together. We also offer Hardtail and eBike categories.

There are regional, state and outright series classifications – the series points you collect for each race you attend will be added together and split into NSW/ACT, QLD North, QLD South and VIC. Additionally we will crown the overall Australian Fox Superflow Champions.

Included in each entry: $60 race photo package from the crew at OuterImage.com.au – competitors can download their photos from an online portal after each event.

Event Update 25.09.2020

1. Change of location of our Operations and Medical Hub – this is where you pick up the number plate => it is now at the start of the Double Dissolution track. Due to the rain today Friday, our event can can’t be driven up. The start location as indicated on the Google Map below is still the same (Start area Pork Barrell).

2. The “Western Car Park” of Stromlo Forest Park on Uriara Road (END of Double Dissolution) will be open for us, so if you park there, it will be very easy to get your number plate on the way to the Start further up the hill.

3. Access Operations/Medical Hub from main car park: you can also access this point easily from the main car park; stay on the lower side of the hill, ride up Wattle Happen + Blackberry Climb + Slant Six or stay on Fireroad + Go past Wombat Junction (Willo Memorial) and jump onto Willo Link, this spits you out right at the hub (or stay on fireroad that leads there too).
