Get EWS points at the Fox Superflow at Awaba in 2020!
Sunday 5. April 2020
Time to get serious: Round 1 is an EWS Qualifier!
You can get EWS qualifier points in our first Fox Superflow race at Awaba MTB Park on 5 April 2020! – This is huge news! We are going to be the building ground for future EWS racers in Australia.
Can. Not. Wait. Spread the word so everyone knows to train and get some points on deck!
EWS Qualifier Event Info
We will have a line-up of three race tracks for all competitors and will add a 4th track that needs to be completed by all those racers who want EWS points.
The local Hunter MTB Association has done a humongous amount of trail maintenance and building over the past few months and or now we can reveal that the additional EWS-race track will be a very technical track for which you will need a full face helmet. This track needs to be raced in addition to the 3 Superflow trails, which are part of the main race. More news and details about how this will work coming soon.
Awaba MTB Park is one of the most popular trail networks just outside of Newcastle with a very active downhill and gravity club base. This event will feature some brand-new flow trails, which have been built!
If you have little shredders come along who are too young for the big Superflow trails, know that there are great tracks to explore with kids and junior trails at Awaba MTB Park – the Fox Superflow schedule is very flexible, so if the family comes along you can hop on the junior trails with the kids in between race runs for the perfect riding and racing weekend getaway!
This is a standalone event and you can collect points for the series ranking! For more details about the series, visit the overview page.
We intend to use the Stan’s and Fox trails from last year and have gotten rid of the more pedally one. It will hopefully be replaced by one of the brand new tracks which we hope are open in time. The 4th track will be for EWS Qualifier racers only and uses part of the Monkey DH track. The map will be updated in coming weeks.
