Legs screaming, heart pumping, adrenaline surging: Stromlo Forest Park
Supported by Events ACT, Race 2 will take you to Stromlo Forest Park with one of the most popular Rocky Trail set of race tracks – it will make your frothing gravity mountain bikers’ hearts skip a beat!
This is a standalone event and you can collect points for the series ranking! For more details about the series, visit the overview page.
Stromlo Forest Park
We love the ever-expanding and evolving trail network and putting together our favourite trail combinations for our events, always inspired by input from our local racers! More information about Stromlo Forest Park can be found here: www.stromloforestpark.com.au
It is a public MTB track and you can ride it in the lead up to the race. You can camp at the Stromlo car park and event centre on the Saturday night.
The Statesman Hotel is your home when riding at Stromlo, (or anywhere in the ACT region for that matter). Only 15 minutes away from the trailhead, they have over 60 rooms, bars, a restaurant and bottleshop to prepare and focus, or relax and celebrate your ride. They offer a quiet location close to Stromlo Forrest Park, secure parking, and a nearby shopping centre for any special needs you might have. It’s a perfect location close to everything and run by mountain bikers.
Give them a call at (02) 6281 1777 and mention the code ROCKY TRAIL to get access to their GOLD RATE.
Stromlo Forest Park is located just 15 minutes outside the City Centre of Canberra and why not make it a weekend getaway to the Capital? There are so many things to see and do off the race track. There are a lot of ‘bike-loving places to stay‘ in Canberra and why not go on a hunt for the perfect ‘Instagram Moment‘? Check out what other events are on that weekend here and follow our event blog for more ideas!
