Please 🙂 Our #rockytrailracers are notorious for last minute entries (which is normally fine) but in these new times of compliance and rules, it would really help if you can register today, and we can finalise everything on our side. Rego will remain open until Friday, but if you are coming, it would help.Don't forget the E-bike class (which was hotly contested last year). Teams, solo and 6+6 (see our previous posts for how 6+6 works).With the year we've had, its going to be nice to see everyone and enjoy the community. Please make sure to come up and say hi! The countdown to the 24 is on!! First one, read on.Here are the basics1. its a 10k loop2. if you are riding in a team, its a simple as the next rider starting any time you have crossed the line3. if you are riding solo, its whenever you feel like going againIf you have a preferred way to split up laps (or as a team) can you please comment below (maybe with your 'level' of racing).Generally, we see people do 1 or 2, then swap during the afternoon, and perhaps a longer 'shift' during the evening or night. Most people do nap/sleep, but some people love to go all the way through.A fast lap is 35 minutes, a relaxed lap is 45m to a hour. We are always amazed the top guys/gals have almost equal lap times for the whole 24 (sometimes with the fastest lap in the last two hours!!).Remember, we've set it up this year so everyone can have a station on the route.We really encourage our female riders to come out. Its fun, its inclusive and its a challenge you wont forget!

Do it as a team (up to 4 people) or do it solo.This is the kind of thing you will never regret (after, during it you might have some doubts 🙂 ) Type 2 fun makes memories that last forever, lets finish the year strong!!!

During 2021, one of our proudest achievements was building up Rocky Trail Academy, a place where young riders can connect with fellow shredders, and realise how big (and amazing) riding bikes is. We view it as a gift that last for life (and we're sick of stories of X took a young rider to a black track, and he never rode again).@shinglebackoffroad shared that vision, and we couldn't be prouder. Support those that support riders! They are committed to helping with grassroots MTB. Pop over and give them a follow!

Not the announcement we want to make. Sad to announce the postponement of this weekend's Fox Superflow at Awaba. New date of race and still the final NSW/ACT Series event: 22+23 January 2022.A kick in the guts to say the least, but the support of this community and the fact that even after ALL that 2020 and 2021 have thrown at us, our #rockytrailracers and friends stick with us, keeps us going. You asked, we listened, and we've made a great change for the 24. We've routed the course so that EVERY solo or team rider will have a spot trackside if they want to! The event centre will be perfect for everyone to have trackside close to their tent or setup.Remember to pack a little table to have some food and water when you roll past.Its getting close! Start elbowing all those friends that said they are coming but haven't entered yet :)

Fox Superflow Awaba weather update: The weather fo

Fox Superflow Awaba weather update:The weather forecast is not looking great at the moment. We expect quite a bit of rain on Thursday and Friday followed by a southerly change Friday afternoon. At this point it's very hard to predict what happens on Saturday and Sunday in terms of rain. We should have a better picture tomorrow and will make a decision on Wednesday evening or Thursday morning at the latest. In case we need to postpone the race then 22.+23. January 2022 will be the new date. A big thanks to the Hunter Mountain Bike Association - we are talking with them daily to discuss all options and scenarios. Needless to say this is a big kick in the guts for all of us - after the latest lockdown we all deserve a fun weekend so let's hope the forecast changes in our favour. As long as the weekend is relatively dry we can race. Martin and the Rocky Trail Team
