If you’ve ever loaded a bus full of energetic teenagers and mountain bikes at 6:00 AM, you know exactly how it goes. The excitement is high, the energy is chaotic, and inevitably, someone arrives at the race track missing a crucial piece of gear. Usually, it’s their helmet.
At Rocky Trail Entertainment, we’ve seen it all. But thanks to our long-time partners at Shimano and Lazer Helmets, we now have the ultimate backup plan for schools competing in our Shimano Academy sessions.
Shimano has generously supplied the Rocky Trail team with 100 premium Lazer helmets specifically to give away and we decided to gift them to participating schools in our Rocky Trail Academy.
Instead of hand-outs to individual riders, we are gifting these helmets directly to the teachers and school sports coordinators. The goal? To build up the infrastructure of school mountain biking programs across the country. Whether these helmets are used to equip students who don’t own their own gear, or simply kept as crucial “spares in the school bus” for those cheeky moments when a student forgets their lid, they are going exactly where they are needed most.
