Want to know all about the Jetblack Wild Wombat?

That’s awesome! We – the Rocky Trail founders Juliane and Martin Wisata – created this event because we want riders of all ages, abilities and motivations to participate in this event together! We ultimately want kids riding alongside their parents and partners who would normally not race as such give it a go alongside their experienced mountain biking and racing friends and loved ones!

Beach event centre in town

With its beach event centre right in the heart of Batemans Bay at Corrigans Beach Reserve the Jetblack Wild Wombat kicks off with a “Sand and Dirt Criterium Race” on Saturday evening. Ease into a fun riding and racing weekend and enjoy a beautiful sunset by the river on the bike doing laps on the short track or pick up your number plate for the next day and be right in the middle of all the action.

Lots of fun things to do for the kids with our Cruzee Bike Fleet and fun kids activities – a big playground at Corrigans Beach Reserve is right next to the event centre as well!

From the beach into the bush

On Sunday it will be all about racing against the clock! The “Wild Wombat Slingshot” lets you chase your personal distance goal on the 7.1 km Dam Loop.

Race formatit’s is all about riding and racing at your own pace!
The race itself is basically an individual time trial on the Dam Loop. The start of the timed section on the Dam Loop will be on the highest point after the first climb and the finish just before the dam wall.

You can do as many laps on the Dam Loop as you can do until the race cut-off at 3pm. All your lap times will be recorded and we will have a leader board for: Fastest Lap, Fastest 3 Laps and Fastest 5 Laps across a wide variety of age groups.

This will be perfect for racers of all ages and riding preferences: ride to the timed section at your own pace and enjoy the company of your mates and loved ones and then clock in as many race times as you can! Make it a fun day out on the bike with your mates, partner and kids!
