New venue for SHIMANO MTB GP Round 6 in 2015: Mowbray Park Farm in Picton

Together with our headline sponsor SHIMANO Cycling Australia, we would like to announce a new venue for Round 6 of the 2015 SHIMANO MTB Grand Prix Series: Mowbray Park Farm in Picton, NSW.

We discovered this location recently as part of our ongoing trail scouting activities and found it to be the ideal venue for the final round of the season on 3 October 2015 – part of the Labour Day long weekend.

We will continue our talks with Wylde Mountain Bike Park and plan to include it into the 2016 series – changes in administration, costing, venue access and camping permissions need to be reconsidered and renegotiated and we were not able to ensure to have everything settled by the end of September for the early October race date.

So, here is a snapshot of what awaits you at Mowbray Park Farm!  It offers accommodation and camping, a brand-new mountain bike trail built by the Wollondilly Trailblazers Club and plenty of family and kids activities for visiting spectators.

Online registration will be open after Round 5.

Location – how to get there:

Address: Mowbray Park Farm, 745 Barker’s Lodge Road, Picton NSW 2571

It’s located about 80 min south of Sydney, half-way to Canberra. Take the Picton exit and drive 10km into the town of Picton. From there turn right towards Barkers Lodge Road; you’ll see the entry to Mowbray Park Farm after 8 km on your left.
