A Weekend of Outdoors & Trails: Join the Tumba Treadfest!
At Rocky Trail, we’re big believers in getting kids outside and active. That’s why we are so excited to support our partners at NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association) for their first-ever Tumba Treadfest this March.
If you have a child in Years 5 to 12 who loves their bike—or even one who is just curious about trying something new—this weekend is for them. It’s all about building confidence, making friends, and enjoying the fresh air in a safe, supportive environment.

- Where: Old town Common trails, 38 Alfred Street, Tumbarumba
- Who: All school students in Years 5-12

What to Expect
The MTB Park at Tumbarumba is a beautiful spot with a variety of trails. Some are flat and easy, while others offer a bit more of a challenge, making it the perfect location for all abilities.
The weekend isn’t just about “racing”—it’s a festival designed to be a great family experience:
- Introductory Riding: Perfect for those who want to “give it a go” without any pressure.
- GRiT (Girls Riding Together): Special activities focused on welcoming and supporting young female riders.
- Social Group Rides: A chance for kids to explore the trails together and learn the ropes.
- A Welcoming Community: You don’t need to be part of a formal team or club to join in. Everyone is invited!
New to the Sport?
We know that “mountain bike events” can sometimes feel intimidating if you aren’t a regular rider yourself. Please rest assured that this festival is designed to be inclusive. Whether your child has the latest gear or just a sturdy bike and a helmet, they’ll find a place here. It’s why Rocky Trail is supporting NICA in Australia.
This event is a fantastic excuse for a family road trip to Tumbarumba to support the local community and see your kids gain some new skills and confidence on two wheels.
