Toowoomba’s Mount Peel mountain bike trails came alive with over 150 secondary school students attending the inaugural Rocky Trail Academy for the Darling Downs region.
Twenty schools competed for points with a very close competition for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Iona College just sneaked in front of Moreton Bay Colleges with a strong performance from Max Lewis bringing bonus points to the team.
- Iona College = 133 points
- Moreton Bay Colleges = 127 points
- Hillcrest Christian College = 121 points
A special mention to Goondiwindi State High School students making the long journey from the west. With no local trails and no hills the students had a fab time competing against other students and meeting new riders.
We look forward to the growth in our Rocky Trail Academy’s and welcome all enquiries from other school’s that would like one in their region.
