We’ve had some input from local riders and there are some slight changes to the AMB100 Marathon monster circuit of previous years. With 28km it’s a bit longer than last year’s and includes now even more bits we like.
So for the riders who know Stromlo well: Cockatoo Switchbacks, Blue Gum Climb, up the hill, Pork Barrell, Slick Rock, Brindabellas, Deep Creek, Terminal Velocity, Shady’s to Missing Link, Double Dissolution followed by a steep but short fire road climb to the top of Skyline via Casuarina. Then the reward with Skyline and ALL of Luge, hook a left there via Blackberry Climb to Slant Six, then left at Willo round about via Blue Tongue to Heartbreaker climb, turn off to Little Seymour before you get to Skyline intersection. From bottom of Little Seymore turn left onto Willo Link and finally Partyline and then back home via Dingo, Breakout and Duffy’s Descent.
Respect to all you racers for taking on that monster course! We’ve certainly had fun scheming and linking and marking it all for you.
Our event centre is located in the traditional downhill finish arena.

Important – additional events in the park; please note:
Fri/Saturday: The local CORC MTB Club is hosting an MTBA National Round; we coordinated our race track with the club and if you want to practice the course on Friday / Saturday, we will point you in the right direction. There will be a few single trail sections at the bottom and we can go around via fire roads to get to the Blue Gum climb. At the top you won’t be able to get onto Skyline or Luge, but all the back of the mountain is open, as are Willo Roundabout and the remaining sections in our AMB 100. We’ll have track maps and point you in the right direction – please be mind-ful of the national course bunting/marking and we kindly ask that you follow directions from any of their commissaires or marshalls; again, if you have any questions, come and see the Rocky Trail crew – we’ll be setting up at our event centre, which is located near the main car park.
This will be great opportunity to see some of Australia’s fastest elite racers in action!
Sunday: There will be a cross-country running competition at the crit track area of Stromlo – please be considerate to our fellow park users.
See you at Stromlo this weekend!
