#racerecap Shimano MTB GP Coondoo 2019

Sun’s out, guns out was the motto of the Shimano MTB GP at Coondoo in Nowra with quite a few of Australia’s ‘big hitters’ joining the league of #rockytrailracers for a beautiful winter’s day on fast and flowy trails!

Reece Tucknott takes the 4-hour men’s solo win ahead of National Champion Brendan Johnston and XC whippet Luke Brame. In the women’s it was Em Viotto taking the win ahead of Ally Durr and Natalie Anderson.
Then men’s 7-hour solo race became a showdown between 7-time 24-hour World Champion Jason English who was challenged by endurance newcomer Owen Gordon from the Jetblack Racing Team. Mark Astley was third. In the women’s it was Gwynn McLeod who claimed the win ahead of Catherine Wood and Catherine Moore.
