RIDER BRIEFING
Fox Rollercoaster #Enduro State Round 4, hyrdrated by CamelBak
Kempsey, NSW – 4+5 July 2015
last updated: 29 June 2015
This round will be held in Kempsey, on the New South Wales North Coast on 4+5 July 2015. Hosted by the local Kempsey Macleay Offroad Cyclists, who specialises in enduro mountain biking and trail building, the event will offer four race tracks over two days. More than 150 riders are expected to take part in the event, which challenges them to ride to the start of race tracks and then to complete two timed sections each day until a designated cut-off time. The race tracks will include a combination of fast descents that require good technical and endurance riding skills including accelerating out of tight corners and navigating across rocky terrain.
We held a race at the Kempsey club trails last year and the feedback from riders was overwhelmingly positive – it’s an ideal venue, with accommodation very close-by and many options for accompanying families and friends to enjoy the surrounding Macleay region!
To get to the event centre, as you come into Kempsey on Macleay Valley Way, you’ll see the Golf Club and He Kempsey Motor in after about 2km on your left and the Kempsey Tourist Village camp ground on your right. Take the next left into South Street and follow the signs.

In Kempsey head to the Kempsey Golf Club and Driving Range off Macleay Valley Way. You can park there and follow the trail signs to the event centre (~5-10 min ride) OR to go straight to the event centre, go past the Golf Club and turn left into South Street. From there, follow the signs (~2km).
Which trails we will use will be decided shortly before the race and depends on weather and trail conditions.

>> Amenities and Food
We won’t be able to bring any toilets into the event centre (which is located about 1km ride or 2km drive from the Kempsey Golf Course); we will be allowed to use the amenities at the Golf Club though.
Please bring your own water with you.
The local club will organise a BBQ on the Saturday for food and we recommend that you stock up on food in town as well.
The Flow Mountain Bikes crew will be on-site also to help with mechanicals; they’ll have a basic selection of spares as well; if you need any specific parts, please bring them along so they can fix it all for you.
>> Accommodation
There is a Kempsey Motor Inn right next to the Golf Club; if it is booked out already, find more options on the local tourism site: http://macleayvalleycoast.com.au/
