With the weather forecast promising a perfectly sunny Winter’s Day of super-flowy riding and racing! The race will be held at the best kept ‘enduro-secret of the North’: Jolly Nose MTB Park! About the Event

Supported by Port Macquarie Hastings Council on the weekend of 13+14 July we think this will be the perfect winter school holiday getaway for mountain biking lovers, besties and their families!

Jolly Nose MTB Park is located just South of Port Macquarie on the home trails of the Hastings Valley MTB Club! These guys live and breathe #enduro, so you’re in for an absolute treat!

We will be launching the brand-new Fox Superflow mud-guards, designed by Dirt Surfer – up for purchase and a special Championship Trophy edition to win for all Champions/podium getters.

If you have already signed up, it’s awesome to have you on board! Still one the fence? Online registrations are open until Friday evening before race day! Should we be getting close to selling out, we will communicate it via our website and our social media platforms.

The venue – Jolly Nose MTB Park

The fairly new Jolly Nose trail network is located in Queens Lake State Forest near Bonny Hills. The park boasts approximately 50km of single track mountain bike trails for both enduro & cross country mountain bike riding. Home to the Hastings Valley MTB Riders and managed by the NSW Forestry Corporation those trails are everything Superflow trails should be, we think!

When riding at Jolly Nose keep in mind that the main arterial roads in the park and fire trails are not closed to public traffic.

> LOCATION and MAP

Camping is allowed at this venue: we arranged for you so that you can set up at the car park but have been asked for event participants NOT to camp in the surrounding National Park. Please check out our Port Macquarie destination blog for accommodation offers too!

The race tracks

  • 3 race tracks (same as in 2018) and you’ll need to complete each race track once
  • Combined race times count
  • If you raced Jolly Nose with us last year, you will notice that one of the finishes will be sooner to enable live results all day – we have updated our timing hardware especially with this track in mind.
  • Remember, you can choose the order in which you do your race runs – no start order, no worries!

Check out the trailmap on our website and here is the direct Google Maps link:

The surrounds – accommodation partners

It will be easy to entertain your race entourage in Port Macquarie and surrounds and we can see you practice on the Saturday and then kick back and relax with everyone on the local shores. Our event schedule was specifically designed with those social activities in mind: We have all race tracks ready and marked for the Saturday, so you can come and do some recky rides in your own time, before hitting race day on the Sunday!

Check out our destination blog with links to itineraries and activity ideas for you and your entourage!

We’ve had a few inquiries about accommodation near the venue – the trails are located between Queens Lake/Bonney Hills and Lake Cathie, both towns have holiday parks for camping and with cabins (see links below). Other than that, we’d recommend you visit the Port Macquarie Tourism website for hotels and motels close-by – Port Macquarie is about half an hour drive from the event centre.

The racing – a social affair

The Fox Superflow events, sealed by Stan’s are unique Australia-wide! They are enduro-style gravity races, based on the European and North American formats, HOWEVER, at Rocky Trail there are:

(1) No Start Orders – you can ride with your friends, kids and partners together all day, even if they are in a different age/skill category

(2) No Worries – you pick the sequence of race tracks, the timing points are all LIVE as soon as the racing starts

(3) Spend all day together! – They are unique Australia-wide in that we can offer an awesome day out to a wide range of riders – from elite to amateur racers to families, couples and groups of friends riding together. We have introduced a very flexible timing system so our events don’t require any start orders and riders can pick the sequence in which to complete the timed race stages themselves. That way, riders of different categories can spend all day riding and racing together!

Race results

Will be available LIVE during the race – we’ll try our hardest to push all results to the website right away. Ourimbah is a bit of a challenge, as the club downhill finish for instance is out of reception, but we will place our timing gear so that we can transmit data as consistently as possible.
