ABOUT the venue

Venue

Silvan Mountain Bike Park – Silvan VIC

Returning back to the Silvan trails after an epic wet mudfest that everyone is still talking about, and the sad destruction of forest from the July 2021 storms. We are extremely thankful to the crew at Vic Parks and the local Yarra Ranges MTB club who have worked tirelessly to achieve the trail repair for our event this year. Together Silvan MTB Park has an exciting future with the hope of more trails into the upcoming years.

  • Event Registration and Hub will be located within the Silvan Mountain Bike Park.
  • Parking: will be approximately 300m from the entrance off Stonyford Rd.
  • Traffic: Caution should be taken turning off Stonyford Rd as the road is narrow and the turn has some limited visibility. From the gate approximately 40m vehicles will turn right and follow the signs to the big large grassy event hub site.

Race tracks used

  • FOX Track: “Temple of Zoom” 1.7km 150m vertical drop.
  • STANS Track: An off camber corner sends riders down MELBA track fireroad for a flying 600m before sketchy off camber puts you onto Twisted Sister and 3 flat corners before some fresh sketch drops you into the choicest sections of “Bakers Dozen”. 1.5km km 150m vertical drop.
  • LAZER Track: “Downhill track #4”. 900m 140m vertical drop. Finishes in the Event Hub
  • Un-timed Liaisons: will use the “Pipeline Track” and “Track 12”

Weather information

Weather gods are currently on our side with mostly blue skys, some cloud cover and temps range 11-22c.  We may actually need sunscreen this year.

Event Format

The Fox Superflow format provides so many options to the rider, and this weekend the opportunity to race three tracks:

  • Tackle the 15 timed runs or just do one on each track.
  • 6.5 hours available with all the support you need.
  • Select Saturday or Sunday
  • REMEMBER NO SHUTTLES ARE ALLOWED.

Don’t forget liaison to the starts are not timed, so grab your mate, friend, mum or dad and enjoy the leisurely ride to the top then be rewarded for your effort.
