Trail access: general riders NOT signed up in the Gran Fondo-Style ride are asked to be respectful of event participants out on track and organisers will convey the same sentiment to its riders.

Race tracks
Saturday tracks – updated condition report

- STAN – Copperhead top to bottom – mixed bag of new soft tracks up high leading into some awesome new rollers, doubles, berms making you smile forever. Tracks will improve across the day with more wheels. Fastest times predicted early afternoon
- FOX – Abom – Fantastic, nicely compacted, lots of flow and running fast.
- Shuttles operated by ATC Shuttles – departing from Tirol carpark. Look for the Rocky Trail Flags and query line. Note Blue Dirt public shuttles will be operating for riders who are riding the open tracks only International and Outlaw. Ensure you line up in the correct line.

- FOX – Clancy track – Freshly groomed alot of fun but watch out for soft corners in the early stages of the race. Tracks will improve across the day with more wheels. Fastest times predicted early afternoon
- STAN – Misty Twisty – Best track of the weekend, new work, so much flow, smiles all around.
- LAZER – Gang Gang – close to home and so much fast flow and fun. Track conditions are perfect.
Event Format
The Fox Superflow® format provides so many options to the rider, tackle the the timed runs up to 5 times or just do one on each track. The fastest time on each track counts. You can do the rac tracks in any order. Don’t forget liaison to the starts are not timed, so grab your mate, friend, mum or dad and enjoy the leisurely ride to the top then be rewarded for your effort.
Briefing: Alpenflow XCM Ride

This Gran Fondo-style marathon Alpenflow EPIC Ride promises an Alpine cross-country adventure like no other! You will cover 2640vm of elevation along the Epic Trail. Over the past 12 months lots of trail upgrades have been completed which will make for an awesome day out.
Race track map
This is a cross-country adventure at altitude at its best, let the trails do the talking: Australian Alpine Epic Trail, Delatite River Run, River Spur, Circuit Road, Cornhill Road plus Split Rock then keep going on an ‘epic climb’ for the full distance (~70km).
Tracks used
- We start in the heart of the Buller Village and are heading East on the Family Trail, making our way via Soul Revivial, One Tree Hill and Gang Gangs to the main Australian Alpine Epic Trail.
- We stay on the full Australian Epic Trail with an awesome descent into the first Finish 1 at Mirimbah Park. Finish there and enjoy the company of your family as they await you to get a ride back up to the Buller Village.
- The full distance racers will continue on the Delitite River Trail.
- On the menu then to climb up: River Spur Trail, Stirling Circuit Rd, Cornhill Road, Split Rock and the Family Trail towards the Finish 2 at Village Square!
One the day
- Collect your race plate and be ready for RIDER CALL UP at 8.45
- Collect your Rocky Trail socks at registration and grab a group photo before leaving
- Giveaways from our supporter No Worries Industries – the “No Worries Anti friction chamois Cream”.
- First pit stop on the ride will be located at Telephone Box Junction with chicken wraps, redbull, fruit and snacks on offer. Amenities available
- Regroup at Mirimbah Park before the ride home.
- This is the spot where family or friends can pick you up. Let us know if you need help with a ride.
- Return to the Event Hub and enjoy the celebrations and acknowledgments at the 4.30pm village presentation.
Timing
Race plates with passive timing chips, automatic race timing and LIVE results online all day.
Event parking
All event participants are asked to park in the vicinity of the Mt Buller Village and surrounding streets/avenues, there is a large car park behind Village Square Plaza, plenty of spots along Summit Road past the Clocktower and also along The Avenue immediately behind the Kooroora Hotel.
You will find that there are plenty of spots close to the event hub in the Village Square – we ask you to follow the signage.
Please do not park in either the Lower Tyrol car park or at Spurs (top of the gravity zone) as these areas are reserved for the Blue Dirt MTB shuttle pickup and drop down locations and vehicles only. Thank you for your understanding.

Join us on Sunday at 5pm in the Buller Cinema! – An initiative in the form of an Australian Film Fest to help build the profile of filmers and content creators and connecting to brands. Riders, brands, communities, bike parks, anyone who wants, can enter a film.
We will show all entered films, which will be judged for 7 days on their online performance and engagement. Find out more…

- Sat – sunny skies with temp mid teens, great conditions for riding
- Sun – slight chance of rain -10-15c
Always prepare for Alpine conditions. Attention: Riders please carry plenty of water!
Insurance
You don’t need to be a member of any cycling association to race with Rocky Trail. Some offer great insurance packages which are worthwhile checking out and you are in charge of your own health insurance when racing with us.

All our crew are very chatty, so do talk to them at rego and at the starts, they will be more than happy to support and talk you through things. We always announce any major updates including any new COVID restriction announcements mainly via the FB event page, as well as our news blog and email newsletters. Please feel comfortable to register knowing we will refund or transfer your entry if QLD tips upside down like the other states.
Rider List and Results
All weekend you can find links to Rider List and LIVE Results via the drop-down menu from the event page on our website! Before the race day the page will display the RIDER LIST and from the race start onwards it will switch to LIVE then on Sunday after the race to final results. You can check these now and throughout the weekend via your mobile devices – to reduce touch points we will not have any public display computers on-site.

COVID-specific Event Guidelines
How are we running this event and how do we keep you safe?
Rocky Trail Covid-19 safety guidelines:
- BEFORE THE RACE: If any of the following applies please contact us immediately.
We will transfer or refund your entry but you CAN NOT PARTICIPATE in the event:- If you are showing any signs of the cold or flu.
- If you have a fever.
- ON RACE DAY: There are a few important changes on how we run things on the day:
- ACCESS: Race tracks are closed to the general public.
- RACE PLATE: You can pick up your race plate with the timing chip from the rego and info point – check the schedule for opening times.
- This way we avoid queues near the registration area.
- RACING & ETIQUETTE: Please adhere to SOCIAL DISTANCING rules!
- If you queue up at a start line please leave a bike length between each other.
- Overall we don’t expect much queuing as the field will spread quickly.
- When you finish your race please give each other as much space as possible.
- RESULTS & CEREMONY:
- Race results are LIVE throughout the day.
- Access race results via the website.
- Giveaways for every racer.
