Key things to remember
IMPORTANT:
As per current NSW health regulations in place, you need to be fully vaccinated in order to race unless you are under 16 years old or have a medical exemption. We are required to check vaccination status before we can hand out your race plate.
Those rules also apply to spectators and supporters.
We can only put on the event right now by adhering to those rules. Please refer to our “Return to Racing News” for more details.
Riders from previous rounds with transfers, please check the rider list that your name is on it. Click on this link to check the RIDER LIST.
- Maintain social distancing at all times in the open air event hub and when purchasing food and drinks.
- We are tracking all event participants – ANY competitor or visitor at the venue is required to Check-In by using the QR code posters available around the event hub.
- RACE WAIVER: Please have a read through it. By entering and attending the event you agree to this Rocky Trail waiver.
Weather as per 30 Nov 2021
The race is going ahead. We have been in contact with the local club and the trails are holding up well – in fact, over the past few weeks the club has done some work on the trails, diverted some of the out of wet areas and added bridges/mesh that will make it more sustainable. Martin’s forecasting models predict a great weekend… each day, the forecast is improving…
Attention: Traffic due to Bathurst 1000
Please note that Bathurst 1000 Supercars event is being held this week (30 Nov-5 Dec). The Bathurst 1000 is a 1,000-kilometre touring car race held annually on the Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst (about 60km further west from Lithgow) – please expect increased traffic and police presence from Sydney towards Lithgow and Bathurst. We recommend you watch your speed limits and make sure that your bike rack number plates are visible/as per regulation.
Attention: NSW State Election
Heads up, NSW residents at the Jetblack 24 Hour – there are NSW Elections on Saturday 4 December, this time to vote for your Local Government representatives. You can vote early, if you can’t make your local ballot box – click here for all the info.

Any questions – chat to one of our crew on the day! Whoop!
Race format
How it works
- The race is a relay-style race. Team riders of the first lap (who start the race for their teams) can after 1 lap hand over to the next team member or keep riding – that’s up to the teams to decide. As soon as you ride 1 lap per solo rider, respectively per team, your time counts and is valid in the final results.
- Mixed male/female teams: each team needs to record at least one female AND one male lap to be in the results.
- The rider in the solo categories / the team with most laps (and shortest time thereafter) wins. If there are riders/teams in a category with the same number of laps, the fastest total lap time determines the ranking.

General race regulations
- Race etiquette – Important: you MUST adhere to social distancing rules.
- Rude behaviour towards fellow racers, crew or volunteers out on track or in the event centre is not acceptable.
- Please be kind to each other. We are all here to compete and to race and that is fine, but as owners of Rocky Trail Entertainment, Juliane and Martin Wisata EXPECT their competitors to be respectful of each other:
- We have seen an exciting and amazing influx of new competitors at Rocky Trail events an especially as we move into new regions with our races, we want to be very clear about this: EVERY competitor has a right to be out on track.
- We ask that the fast and semi-pro racers overtake slower riders in a repectful manner. As an experienced racer you would be aware that especially at a lap race, a podium position is not won by one or two seconds that you might loose by overtaking a slower rider in a respectful and friendly manner. Call out to the rider ahead of you, tell them you are there and that you will move past on which side.
- For casual racers, please respect the fast guys too – sometimes the fast riders see a gap that you don’t and they have the confidence that they can overtake you safely. Trust in their judgement. – At the same time, stand your ground, no need to stop completely, move to the side and let them pass. You will find you’ll get into a flow and a rhythm.
- We appreciate every racer and we have been building the Rocky Trail community for over a decade – we are grateful to have you all racing with us.
- Chat to Martin, Juliane, or to our event Managers Jo or Bob, if you have any questions.
- If you are the parent or carer of a junior racer you can ride or run with them, either as a racer or see rego to nominate as a marshal.
- Our staff at rego and at the starts are there to help. Talk to them.
- We are Covid Safe compliant, your briefing will be virtual, we’ll be social distancing, the medal ceremony will be virtual and we’ll make this the safest event you’ve ever been at!
If you feel sick – please don’t come,
you will get a refund.
If you feel the sniffles or something else coming on please don’t come to the race. Even if you find out in the morning let us know and we will refund you entry. No questions asked.
If you feel the sniffles or flu-like symptoms coming on, please don’t come to the race. Even if you find out in the morning let us know and we will be as forthcoming as possible with transferring your entry over to the next round. We reserve the right to deny entry if you have a fever or show flu-like symptoms.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION AND UNDERSTANDING.
