I am Juliane Wisata and I am the driving force behind Rocky Trail Communication. Rocky Trail Communication is the public relations division of Rocky Trail Entertainment Pty Ltd., one of the leading mountain bike events promoters in Australia with a portfolio of 20 events each year.

With my husband Martin and toddler son Cosmo I live and work on the NSW Central Coast. Our events business has been our lifestyle since 2008 – we’ve been organising mountain bike races in NSW and ACT and have travelled to ride and race all around the country and overseas.

I started working in this industry without any baggage or prejudices – but with loads of passion for the sport and its riders. I have been a cyclist for years and it was just natural to organise and promote racing events that were infused with our passion, experience and professional attitude towards our riders.

We have been working in the Australian cycling industry since 2008 and over the years have made countless connections to fellow cyclists and elite riders – by organising races and racing and riding ourselves. We have met locals and overseas riders, industry professionals, other promoters and media representatives across all communication channels.

Professional experience
Our extensive experience in the Australian cycling industry is supported by masters degrees from the IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences in Austria – I graduated in the field of Export Management with focus on strategic marketing and product management and Martin from the Tourism and Leisure Management course with focus on sports events management and hospitality. Since 2011 we have been guest lecturers at the IMC and have been teaching an “Entrepreneur” lecture to Bachelor tourism students since 2013 – both at the main campus in Krems (Austria) and at a partner university in Baku, Azerbaidjan.

Martin’s professional experience includes direct marketing and digital marketing including web design as well as tourism and hospitality management – he applies his skillset across our portfolio of mountain bike events, actively promoting cycling and cycling destinations in doing so.

I have worked in the food manufacturing, retail and marketing industries gaining experience in sales, account management as well as strategic marketing and brand management before jumping across to sports and events management with Rocky Trail Entertainment, where I have been looking after marketing, public relations, media buying as well as customer service. A huge focus and ever-changing area has been social media and I love how the various channels evolve constantly.
