The Shimano Grand Prix mountain bike races bring back classic lap racing in 2023 with a set of distance challenges on short-course circuits. This round will be held at a classic Rocky Trail venue at Awaba MTB Park. We’ll pick a race track based on the Red Loop with 3 race distances – The Hero (longest), The Adventure (middle) and The Challenge (shortest).

Distances will be approximately 75km, 50 kms and 25kms with riders completing a set number of laps within the 4 hour time limit.

The races have Age Group Categories for solos and pairs teams depending on the distance challenges. There will also be four specialty Classification Awards including KOM/QOM, Fastest Lap Time for adults and the Loan Market Junior Sprint as well as an “Hero Title” for the Male and Female Heroes.

View Event Guide for categories & entry or Venue Guide for directions and track info. With the local skills clinic Momentum Is Your Friend we are offering 2x 2H Kids Fast Track Sessions while we race. Click for all infos here.
