Stromlo Shimano MTB GP

The Shimano Grand Prix mountain bike races bring back classic lap racing in 2023 with a set of distance challenges on short-course circuits. This round will be held at epic Stromlo Forest Park in Canberra and we’ve picked a blinder of a 9.8km race track with 3 race distances – The Hero (longest), The Adventure (middle) and The Challenge (shortest).

Distances will be approximately 75km, 50 kms and 25kms with riders completing a set number of laps within the 4 hour time limit.

The races have Age Group Categories for solos and pairs teams depending on the distance challenges. There will also be four specialty Classification Awards including KOM/QOM, Fastest Lap Time for adults and the Loan Market Junior Sprint as well as an “Hero Title” for the Male and Female Heroes.

This event is co-sponsored by Crofto, offering a $4,000 prize pool of Australian Mountain Biking clothing and accessories!
