URGENT Covid-19 Alert: Race Update Kempsey | Shimano MTB GP

This is an urgent Covid-19 Alert as per 26 June 2021 at 6:15pm for tomorrow’s Shimano MTB GP in Kempsey | 27 June 2021.

Dear Rocky Trail Racer,

This is an URGENT race update for all registered racers or supporters at the Shimano MTB Grand Prix event in Kempsey tomorrow, 27 June 2021.

After todays announcement by the NSW Government in regards to the Greater Sydney lockdown, the following rules will apply to tomorrow’s race:

‘People who have been in the Greater Sydney region (including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast and Wollongong) on or after June 21 should follow the stay-at-home orders for a period of 14 days after they left Greater Sydney.’

This means if that applies to you, you CAN NOT come to the race.

We will not be awarding series points for this round.

Please find below Martin’s official statement via video.

Here are your options, if you CAN NOT come to the race or decide not to come because of personal circumstances:

  • Transfer your entry to any of the upcoming Rocky Trail events in the Shimano MTB GP Series – we have the Mogo (August) and Nowra (Sept) events coming up in NSW as well as the Gold Coast event at Hinze Dam in July (see links in Events Calendar).
  • OR you can get a full refund. No questions asked.
  • Please advise us to cycle@rockytrailentertainment.com of your choice by Wednesday, 30 June 2021. Thanks.

We appreciate your time and thank you for standing by us in these challenging times once again. Together we’ll get through this again.

Thank you,

Juliane and Martin Wisata, Owners
