A regular at Rocky Trail races, Sebastien Deubel, has written a race report following Rocky Trail’s Rollercoaster Gravity Enduro NSW State Round 1 at Ourimbah on 27 January 2014.
Rocky Trail Entertainment will be hosting two of the Australian Gravity Enduro events in NSW (Glenworth Valley/Gosford, 9 March) and ACT (Stromlo Forest Park, 24 August). Over the past two years since organising and promoting our Rollercoaster gravity enduro events, one of the riders who’s competed at virtually every race has been Sebastien Deubel. He’s been a big influence on our events and supported us right from the start.
We’re excited to have Sebastien among our racing crowd and he keeps telling us how much he loves our events. So we’ve asked him to give us an insight into a “typical gravity enduro race day” – you’ll be reading in between the lines that this man’s heart beats for gravity enduro racing. His race report is full of passion and ticks all the boxes of why so many Australian mountain bikers have caught the gravity enduro racing bug!
About Sebastien Deubel:
He is the Mechanical Engineer at Deubel Bicycles and has been racing All-Mountain and Gravity Enduro style events in Europe during the 90’s, including the infamous Megavalanche in France, which he won in 1998 in the amateur category. He moved to Australia to design and build the Deubel 2UP bikes with his wife Gisella, based on his riding passion and racing experience.
