A new initiative, called “Anxious Mothers”, was founded by downhill mums including Jo Williams-Frew, Jackson Frew’s mum. We are looking forward to supporting these ladies and parents throughout our 2014 RedAss Downhill State Series and Championships. First up will be the State Championship event at Thredbo on 12+13 April – come have a chat at registration and we’ll point the “Anxious Mothers” out to you.

Here is what Jo Williams-Frew said about “Anxious Mothers”:

>>Do you have a son or daughter riding downhill? Do you find race day scary even anxious? Do I have deal for you! Join other anxious mothers in a fantastic support group, coffee, stories, celebration and unfortunately some times some less happy dance times!

Anxious mothers is a great supportive group that understands race day. Mothers with extensive experience, Liz Liz McMillan, Lesley Anne Vincent and Peggy Douglas know how hard it can be! So they created the fabulous Anxious Mothers group! A prestigious group of wonderful women who know just how hard these DH riders, train, race and the pressure they put on themselves! Come buy a shirt and wear on race days and be in great company! Smile and try and relax with others who know how you feel!<<
